Q: What geographic areas can Euro Homecare assisted living caregivers serve?
A: Our caregiver & assisted living services are available all over Connecticut ... and throughout areas of New England & New York. In home care is available for a variety of needs including care for aging parents, those disabled, chronically ill, Alzheimer's care or mentally challenged.
Q: Is Euro Homecare insured and bonded?
A: Yes, we are fully insured and bonded. Euro Homecare provides both Worker's Compensation and General Liability coverage. You can request a comprehensive list by contacting our office at 860.793.9944.
Q: How do we know Euro Homecare caregivers have the experience & references that are right for us?
A: All members of the Euro Homecare team —caregivers and administration— have been carefully selected and trained accordingly to our rigorous standards. All staff utilizes their knowledge and expertise to provide the most caring home experience available.
Q: What is your process of hiring a caregiver?
A: In order to ensure that we provide the best service for YOU and YOUR loved one(s), our priority is to find a suitable caregiver by reviewing our caregiver's profiles through a sophisticated methodology.
To make sure that private caregivers are not misrepresenting themselves, we perform meticulous background checks. This includes continuously checking and reviewing their references. Once we have determined that personal caregiver may be a perfect match for you or your family member, we will set up interviews with at least two potential caregivers.
At that time you will meet your new caregiver(s) and discuss the her/his/their responsibilities. You may also discuss: work hours, days off, start date, salary, sick leave, vacation, legal holiday, your special requirements ... as well as the caregiver's requirements. After the interview, we will assist you when deciding about caregiver(s) you think is the perfect fit for you and/or your loved one. Soon after, we will make arrangements for your caregiver's hours, rate of compensation and start date.
Q: What type of background check do you perform on your Euro Homecare caregivers?
A: FOR YOUR PROTECTION and peace of mind—we perform state & nationwide criminal record checks. In addition, at the client's request, we can perform social security trace, E-Verify (Department of Homeland Security), DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)- among many others.
Q: Are Euro Homecare services covered by long term insurance?
A: Euro Homecare will assist you in determining your coverage parameters and work with your insurer to complete applicable paperwork.
Most long-term policies have a qualifying period, or deductible and may pay a percentage based on the cost for private duty services. We work with many insurance carriers to lessen the enormity of paperwork. Euro Homecare will provide for you an itemized bill for you to submit to your insurer.
Q: Is the Euro Homecare staff multilingual?
A: Yes, all of our employees are either bilingual or multilingual. Those languages include English, Polish, Russian, Italian, French, Spanish, Lithuanian, Georgian, among others.
Q: What are Euro Homecare's compensation fees / rates?
A: Rates are based on experience and job description:
Companion services begin at $12.00 per hour
Homemaker Services begin at $12.00 per hour
Personal Care Services begin at $14.00 per hour
Alzheimer's Care Companion begin at $17.00 per hour
Live-in Companion – Payroll begins at $185.00
Private Pay begins at $120.00
Hourly Companion – Payroll begins at $18.00
Private Pay begins at $12.00
Q: What are Euro Homecare's hours of operation?
A: Administrative office hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
CLOSED: Sunday

Euro Homecare accepts referrals 24 hours-a-day including weekends.
